"John to
the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace
be unto you, and peace, from him which is,
and which was, and which is to come; and
from the seven Spirits which are before his
throne;" Rev 1:4 (KJV)
Today we're
going to be taking a look at the Reference
to The Seven Spirits of God mentioned in
several places within the Book of
Revelation. I'm going to give you the
passages where they can be found here beside
the passage we are looking at here in the
first chapter of the Book of Revelation -
and you can look them up later on. They are
Revelation 3:1; 4:5; 5:6.
I know that I
said during our last time together in the
Prophecy Notes Front Seat Bible Study Video
- that I was anxious to get to Revelation
Chapter 4 and we're going to get there. The
reason I'm excited to get there is because
it is so close to that time and we all need
to talk about it and learn what the Lord has
said about it in His Testimony given to the
APOSTLE JOHN to be delivered to His Servants
(YOU AND ME), so that we could begin to
realize that "the time" was at hand.
But I was
checked in my spirit to return here to this
section with regard to the Seven Spirits of
God because God impressed on me that He has
more to say on the subject. So I bow to Him
and will share with you what He has shared
with me.
In previous
writings concerning the book of Revelation -
it has always been enough for me to just say
that the Seven Spirits referred to the Holy
Spirit. I mean there were several things
that I found that were satisfactory to me
such as the fact that the number 7 spoke of
perfection and that the Ancient Menorah
there in the Holy of Holies where the
Priests would enter had 7 arms as were lit
daily from morning to night - but the center
Lamp was left burning all day as well as it
was considered to be the Lamp of God. Then
what about the fact that if you do an exact
search in the Name Holy Spirit you will find
that is has been mentioned in a total of 7
places in The WORD of God. (ref., Psalm
51:11; Is 63:10; Is 63:11; Luke 11:13; Eph
1:13; Eph 4:30; 1 Thessalonians 4:8)
The Seven
Spirits of God
I want you to
take out your Bible and if you don't have a
King James Version - please get you one or
read these verses here... there is two
verses right there in Isaiah 11 that I want
to emphasize here because they spell out for
us the 7 Spirits of God. Let me read then
for you now.
"And
there shall come forth a rod out of the
stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow
out of his roots: And the spirit of the
LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of
wisdom and understanding, the spirit of
counsel and might, the spirit of
knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;"
Isa 11:1,2 (KJV)
Let me place them in a graph here for you
that will help you to understand what they
are and how they can help us to remain on
the Pathway of righteousness before the
Lord.

The Seven Spirits of the Lord are seen to be
"UPON CHRIST" and attend Him wherever He
goes. Look at Rev 3:1
"And unto the angel of the church in
Sardis write; These things saith he that
hath the seven Spirits of God," (KJV)
If we go to
Rev 4:5 we find that it says there
"And
out of the throne proceeded lightnings
and thunderings and voices: and there
were seven lamps of fire burning before
the throne, which are the seven Spirits
of God.
(KJV)
Oh friend this is an reference to the seven
lamps in the tabernacle and temple, which
were trimmed by the priests, and always kept
burning, expressive of the Spirit, and his
gifts. Being signified by the number
"seven", they denote the fullness and
perfection of them; and the fact that they
were said to be "before the throne", show
that there is always a sufficiency of
them for the churches in all ages; to
fit and qualify proper persons to minister
the word of TRUTH - alive with Flame of
CONSUMING POWER, connecting to the
church; conveying to them, through
the preaching of the Gospel, His
illuminating and quickening influences.
Hallelujah to the Lamb!
Finally, Rev
5:6 tells us:
"And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of
the throne and of the four beasts, and in
the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it
had been slain, having seven horns and seven
eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God
sent forth into all the earth." (KJV)
The Horns of God represent the Perfection of
Power and Glory (ref: Romans 11:11 "...every
knee shall bow)
While the
eyes stand for the Perfection of WILL and
FOREKNOWLEDGE and depth of Perception and
Provision for all mankind to come to Him out
of their own free will.
All of this
is merely represented by phrases sprinkled
throughout the Book of Revelation and yet
they have substance for you and I today as
well as the Writer of the Book, John, and He
wanted us to know of the Importance of the
Seven Spirits of God in our lives today and
every day. It's one of those things you just
cannot leave home without.
